Karin Orsel, Chief Executive Officer, commented, “ since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked tirelessly around the clock. It has been and still are challenging times for our seafarers. The crewing department, whose mission among others is to relieve the seafarers as soon as possible, have been facing a number of challenges.
Visa challenges, travelling restrictions arising from COVID 19 made it extremely difficult for our seafarers and their families. Part of the problem the crew department were confronted with is that each country has its own version of measures in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
We so much appreciate the admirable efforts of our crew members and we remain committed to helping these individuals return to their home countries safely and on time. Although the future is still largely unknown we stay positive and we’ll get through this together!.
