Successful launch of the Thun Response
The Thun Response was launched on 30 May 2026 at a celebratory event held at the shipyard in Leer, Germany.
Resource-efficiënt schip
The Thun Response is the fifth of eight ‘R-Class’ sister ships to be built by the Ferus Smit BV shipyard. Designed with a focus on resource efficiency and environmental friendliness, the vessel is to be chartered by Circle K upon delivery.
Its innovative design features adaptive propulsion, shore power connectivity, a UPS battery pack, and state-of-the-art, resource-efficient machinery.

The launch of the Thun Response marks an important milestone in our collaboration with Thun Tankers and Shipyard Ferus Smit BV. We are proud of our role as newbuilding supervisor and future ship manager of these state-of-the-art vessels, which not only meet today's standards but also contribute to a sustainable future for shipping.
