MF Shipping Group, Wärtsilä and Erik Thun Group
Wärtsilä has signed a long-term agreement with MF Shipping Group and Erik Thun Group to carry out overhauls and provide ongoing support for the fleet in the coming years.
The agreement covers field service, workshop operations and parts supply, ensuring continued operational reliability and efficiency across the fleet.
This collaboration builds on the strong, long-standing partnership between the two groups. Since 1994, MF Shipping Group has managed vessels for the Erik Thun Group in close cooperation, a relationship that can be traced back to 1984 through the companies' predecessors. Together, the partners have delivered more than 50 vessels.
MF Shipping Group also regularly supports Erik Thun Group’s newbuild projects, many of which have been constructed at Ferus Smit. The partners are continuing to expand the fleet with new generations of sustainable vessels.
Through this agreement, Wärtsilä plays a pivotal role in supporting the partnership and contributing to the decarbonisation and long-term sustainability of the maritime industry by providing reliable lifecycle and efficiency solutions.
